Project Summary
The project will promote the decarbonisation process and combat climate change by implementing field trials of castor, assess the opportunity to identify specialised areas for the new varieties of bioenergy crops to promote an additional economic income for the local communities and counter, as an adaptation practice, to reduce the negative impact of climate change on local livelihoods. The project will also introduce agroecological and climate-smart practices to improve food production in quantity and quality. Particular attention will be paid to the business sector, youth and women entrepreneurship improving the marketing potential of agricultural products by identifying good markets and enhancing the quality of farm products.
