This project involves The CIHEAM Montpellier institute
Funded in the framework of the bilateral Neighbourhood Programme managed by the EU Delegation in Tunisia, the DEVLOK project implemented in Tunisia is aimed at implementing a participatory and inclusive approach to strengthen the maritime, agricultural and rural economy of the Kerkennah Islands, based on the promotion of local resources. The project focuses on an area of Tunisia threatened by numerous tensions (access to the profits of oil drilling, overfishing and competition for the fisheries resource, land and maritime pollution, seasonal population flows, departure site for illegal migrants heading to Europe, etc.). During the course of the first semester 2019, a call for local development projects was issued to support sustainable economic initiatives by local operators.
