The CIHEAM, in partnership with the FARM Foundation and iReMMO Alumni, organized the MedClimat 2024 Conference on the theme: "A Mediterranean in Motion: Feeding and Adapting to Climate Change," taking place on December 17 at the Académie du Climat in Paris.
Why MedClimat 2024?
The Mediterranean, a crossroads of millennia-old agricultural traditions, is facing profound upheavals: rising temperatures, resource scarcity, environmental crises, and geopolitical tensions. These pressures threaten the sustainability of food systems, making transnational cooperation and the search for innovative solutions essential.
This event brought together key players from across the Mediterranean basin—farmers, researchers, policymakers, businesses, and members of civil society—to tackle the major agricultural and climate challenges in the region.
MedClimat 2024 is an opportunity to collectively strengthen the resilience of our food and agricultural systems.
