At the end of the round table "Mediterranean integration: The Challenges of Enhanced Cooperation for Sustainable Food Systems", - co-organized with the Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) and the CIHEAM Montpellier- which brought together international experts from the agri-food sector and cooperation and development actors, the CIHEAM and the CMI took the opportunity to sign the renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding.

This event marks the feeling of enhanced cooperation between the two institutions as well as the desire to collaborate further in the future in the name of more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient growth in the Mediterranean.

The MoU identifies four major fields of cooperation:

1. Youth and Women empowerment
2. Territorial Resilience to Climate Change, including the development of rural territories and food sustainability
3. Water Security and Management
4. Migration, including human capital mobility.
