The Delegations of the CIHEAM Member States met in Paris on 20 and 21 December 2018 for the 141st Governing Board Meeting of the Organisation. The new President of the Board was elected during this meeting and the 12th CIHEAM Ministerial meeting to be held in Tunis in 2019, was announced.
The 141st Governing Board of the CIHEAM was held in Paris on 20 and 21 December 2018. In addition to the adoption of the 2019 strategic orientations, the Delegates of the CIHEAM Member States elected Professor Mohammed Sadiki, as the new President of the Board.
Currently Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests of the Kingdom of Morocco, Pr Mohammed Sadiki was the Delegate of Morocco and the Vice-President of the Governing Board. He succeeds Professor Masum Burak, former Delegate of Turkey.
The 141st Governing Board was also the opportunity to announce the next meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the CIHEAM Member States to be held in Tunis (Tunisia) in 2019 and which will focus on youth empowerment as a lever for agricultural and rural development in the Mediterranean.
